Gerald Bignell – 13.03.1930 – 24.09.2013

1st of December 2013

Gerald was born in Chipperfield and lived in the village all his life apart from the time that he spent doing his National Service in the R.A.F.
He worked in the printing industry at John Dickinsons and also at the Sun Engraving where he met his wife to be, Grace. Gerald and Grace were married for fifty six years.
Gerald was so proud of Grace and his family. He was a kind and considerate man who always had time for everyone. A very good friend and neighbour.
He was a very mechanically minded man who loved motor cycles, cars and tractors. In his younger days he would to to Wembley Speedway and to grass track racing. In later years Gerald was very interested in steam and tractor rallies and used to go to them with his own tractor which is now owned by his grandson, Callum.
Sadly, Gerald has now passed away and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Rest in peace, Gerald.
