Roman Catholic Church

1st of March 2011

Last year, after Sunday Mass, one of the congregation was taken ill and an ambulance was called. The car park was parked solid, as it often is, so it was difficult for the paramedics to get to their patient in the church. Because of this, and to help anyone who had difficulty with the rough ground, a smooth pathway with a handrail has been made along the right hand edge of the car park.

The celebration of the Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held at our Church this year – the six churches involved taking it in turns. Thank God for the ladies from the Baptist Church in Chipperfield who each year, three weeks before the event, hold a meeting at which we practise the music and sort out details and then serve a delicious lunch.

Thank Heaven also for our catechists who have begun classes, preparing this year’s group of youngsters to be ready to make their first Confession and first Holy Communion.
