Light Up A Life For Ian Rennie Hospice At Home

1st of November 2010

The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home would like to invite you to join them at one of this years Light up a Life ceremonies.
The dedication ceremonies are being held in Hemel Hempstead Old Town as part of the Victorian Evening on Saturday 20 November at 6.30pm and also at the Light up a Life Tree in Church Square, Tring at 4pm on Sunday 21 November following the IRHH Annual Service of Thanksgiving at St Peter & St Paul’s Church at 3pm.
The weeks before Christmas are a special time of year for families and friends. But for many people who have lost someone close to them they can often be a time of sadness. Lighting a candle is such a simple thing, but it represents a time to remember a loved one who may no longer be with us and share hope with others.
While many visitors to our Light up a Life ceremonies are people who have been touched by IRHH’s care, Light up a Life is open to everyone who feels they would like to remember a loved one in this special way.
”Light up a Life was both comforting and another link to Ron. The Fact that Iain Rennie organised the event was a powerful message – it said that our loved ones
are not forgotten, we were with you at the time and were still here for you now”
Gill, patients wife.
The money raised from all those people who choose to dedicate a light before the ceremony will continue to support the work of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home nurses who care for terminally ill patients in there own homes.
There are several dedication ceremonies across the Chilterns area throughout November and December.
If you would like to sponsor a light or honour a loved one, further details are available from IRHH on 01442 890222, or email
