Horticultural Society Autumn Show

1st of November 2010

The Village Hall was filled with tables of fruit and vegetables grown to a very high standard, the size of the leeks, parsnips and pumpkins were to be wondered at. On the other side of the hall, wonderful arrangements in the floral art classes filled the eye with colour and were a joy to behold.
The dahlias, as always, were magnificent, wonderful colours and many different varieties filled the classes. The domestic section was mouthwatering and the handicraft section was outstanding.
All in all a great show, numerous entries of a very high standard and plenty of visitors who came to admire the exhibits and enjoy a wonderful cream tea.
The afternoon closed with an auction of produce and a raffle.
With very many thanks to all those who came and helped at this show, without you it would not be so much fun and a lot more hard work! Ann Soanes (Secretary)
