All houses on the Dacorum Borough Council Recycling scheme are supplied with:

Three boxes for recycling

• Black box: newspapers, magazines, and junk mail.
• Green box: plastic bottles, food and drink cans and aerosols
• Basket: all coloured glass bottles and jars

Local Household Waste Recycling Centres (AKA: “the tip” “the dump”)

• Hemel Hempstead Household Waste Recycling Centre, Eastman Way HP2 7DU
  Opening times: Summer: daily from 08:00 until 18:00 (April 1 to September 30). Winter: daily from 08:00 until 16:00 (October 1 to March 31).

• Berkhamsted Household Waste Recycling Centre, North Bridge Road HP4 1TA
  Opening times: All year: daily from 08:30 until 16:30.

• Tring Household Waste Recycling Centre, Tringford Road, New Mill HP23 4LH
  Opening times: All year: daily from 08:00 until 16:00.

• Harpenden Household Waste Recycling Centre, Dark Lane, off Grove Road AL5 1QB
  Opening times: All year: daily from 10:00 until 18:00.

• Watford Household Waste Recycling Centre, Wiggenhall Road WD1 4HS
  Opening times: All year: Mon-Fri from 08:00 until 16:00. Sat-Sun from 09:00 until 16:00.

• Waterdale Household Waste Recycling Centre, St Albans Road, Nr. Garston WD2 7PR
  Opening times: Daily from 08:00 until 18:00.

• St. Albans Household Waste Recycling Centre, 14 Ronsons Way, Sandridge, off St Albans Road, St Albans AL1 4AP
  Opening times: Summer: daily from 08:00 until 18:00 (April 1 to September 30). Winter: daily from 08:00 until 16:00 (October 1 to March 31).
