The Poulter Family at The Boot Tavern,
I am writing again on behalf of my half brother Jack Charles who grew up in Chipperfield in the late 1930′s. Today was his 80th birthday and he had a family gathering at The Boot. This reminded him of the family called POULTER who ran the pub into the 1940′s. They had a son called Ronald who was at school with Jack and who had a serious bicycle accident in his teenage years. Jack wonders if anyone remembers the family?
I passed The Boot last night, 13th January, and could not believe my eyes! They still have Christmas lights up and SWITCHED ON.
