Chipperfield Clarendon Cricket Club – 2014 Season

1st of April 2014

New junior members wanted

We have a small but enthusiastic junior cricket section and we are looking for boys and girls aged between 6 and 15 to join our club. All our coaches are qualified and CRB checked. We will take them through the basic skills of the game, the rules and etiquette, and prepare them for matches against other clubs. Once they reach the age of 11 they start to use a hard ball and more protective clothing.

At the moment we are running indoor nets for 11-15 year olds at the Redbourn Cricket Centre on Wednesdays from 7 – 8pm. Come alone or bring a friend, even if they play for another club. You are all most welcome and the facilities are excellent. There is a bar and a viewing area for parents.

Our outdoor training will commence on Sunday 13 April at 10.30am for all age groups. We have entered three teams in the league this season at under 9, under 12 and under 15 level, plus a number of friendlies.

We have a thriving social side to our club with barbecues, quiz nights, jazz, comedy and the Summer Ball, all planned for this season. We are particularly keen to encourage parents and families of our junior members to come along.

If you are a parent/carer who fancies drinking a coffee, reading the paper and enjoying one of the best vistas in the country whilst your child is having fun in the sunshine, then this might just be for you. Let’s face it, everyone likes a bat and ball!
