Chipperfield Indoor Short Mat Bowls Club returned to The Carvery at Little Hay Golf Complex for their Presentation Dinner on 4 May. An excellent 3-course meal was enjoyed by all.

At the dinner Terry Timberlake, Bowls Club chairman, presented the John Prestwich trophy to Chris Skinner as the most improved bowler of the season. Bill Taylor, competition organiser, then presented engraved cups to the winners of the Pairs Competition, Terry Timberlake and Ray Phillips, and to the runners up, June Percival and Bill Taylor himself.

On behalf of the Club the Chairman expressed our best wishes to Roy Wildman for a speedy and complete recovery from his present illness.

Once again members had enjoyed a good season with improved attendance. Evening bowls in the Village Hall recommences 2 October; new members are always welcome.
