Chipperfield Horticultural Society

The Society is hosting a talk on Great Dixter by Fergus Garrett on Wednesday 25 April in St Paul’s Parish Room at 7.30 pm. Followed by questions and coffee.

Great Dixter is in Northiam, East Sussex and was the home of the famous plants man and garden writer Christopher Lloyd. His father commissioned Lutyens who designed the gardens as a series of rooms which lie around the house.

Fergus Garrett worked with Christopher Lloyd for 15 years before he died in 2006 when Fergus took over the gardens. He teaches students world-wide to develop and promote freedom of expression in the garden. He is renowned in the gardening world and is in great demand as a speaker.

Admission by ticket only, £10 non-members, £8 members either from Garden Scene, Chipperfield, or by post from Ann Soanes, West View, Bucks Hill, Chipperfield, WD4 9AU. Please enclose a s.a.e, cheques made payable to the society.
