The Lanes Children’s Centre

1st of July 2011

It’s hard to believe that the summer holidays will soon be upon us. The Lanes Children’s Centre will remain open throughout the holidays and our regular Tuesday’s Under 1’s and Wednesday Wigwams and mobile toy library will be available. We also have
plenty of extra activities planned for all the family.
On Monday 4 July from 1–2.45pm at the Baptist Church, Chipperfield, we will be holding a workshop on ‘How safe is your child at home’? A crèche will be provided and the cost is £5. On Monday 25 July, why not come along to Chipperfield Common between 11am–1pm for a ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’? Please bring your own picnic! There will be a bear hunt, games and singing and those with older siblings are also welcome. The event is free. However, we are asking for a donation of a canned or packaged food product (e.g. baked
beans, rice/pasta, tea bags, jam, biscuits or snacks, etc.) for the forthcoming
‘Dacorum Foodbank’ which will open in September. The Dacorum Foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis; so your donation will go to a very much needed and worthy cause. On Tuesday 2 August we are holding a ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ workshop at The Lanes Children’s Centre from 10–11.30am. The workshop will include painting, story time, singing and activities around the much loved story. The cost for the workshop is £1 per child. The workshop is suitable for children aged
between 18 months–7 years.
Booking is essential for all sessions.
