They have enjoyed a highly successful season finishing runners up in division 2 of the
West Herts Youth league. This year the team have scored 71 goals and won 13 of their
16 league matches. The players seem to have flourished thanks to their intensive
weekly training sessions on the Astro pitch at Ashlyns. Boys come primarily from the
local villages of Chipperfield, Bovingdon and Kings Langley. Of the 18 man squad, 9
started their football careers whilst in year 1 at St Paul’s School in Chipperfield and
have grown up with the team playing mini soccer before moving to 11 a side, only ever
playing for Chipperfield Corinthians.
The team is lucky to have the sponsorship of local company, JPM Contract Cleaners,
who have been very supportive over the years having purchased their kit and tops.
Now all that remains is a final presentation evening, a quick glance back at this season,
a thank you to everyone involved in the team, to JPM Contract Cleaners and a brief rest before we begin everything again next season
