Dr Brenda Harold, who lives in Sarratt, gave an interesting and informative talk
entitled The World of Plants. She explained the evolution of plant life through many
billions of years, starting with bacteria and algae, through to liverworts and mosses,
eventually arriving at the technicolour age of flowering plants.
