HOST, a well-established national charity, invites you to become a volunteer offering the occasional day, weekend or Christmas invitation to a foreign post-graduate studying at a UK university. These adult students come mainly from the Far East, India and the USA, are in their 20’s or older and all speak English. Being far from home they enjoy sharing their own culture with their hosts and are keen to experience the English way of life. Hosts should let their guests share their normal activities – usually over a weekend – rather than entertaining them. They pay their own transport costs. Volunteer hosts of all ages and walks of life are urgently needed. . HOST is careful to match students and hosts to each other and we have never had a misfit.
