Historic Vehicle Tour
On Sunday 1 May there will be a repeat of the highly successful tour first run two years ago. The Royal Oak and Tower Hill Garage are hosting the Chipperfield start-point and throughout the Sunday morning a wonderful array of over 200 classic cars will pass through the village on their way to a festive parade and display in the Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead. The occasion is to raise money for the Dacorum Community Trust which is an independent charity working across Dacorum to ensure that in times of real need local people have somewhere to turn. In the last few years the Trust has seen many cases of desperation and real poverty and has made hundreds of small grants to local people for domestic essentials. It also makes small targeted grants to organisations for special projects which help people, young and old, to enjoy life and to prevent loneliness.
If you would like to know more about the Trust, or are interested in donating to our funds or would like to consider making a legacy to help local people of the future, please get in touch. Most importantly, if you know someone who is struggling tell them about the Dacorum Community Trust – we hope we can help.
