Chipperfield Horticultural Spring Show
On Saturday 19 March in The Village Hall our Spring Show has classes for all our wonderful spring flowers and plants grown either outside or indoors. All vegetables have their classes from onions to leeks. Handicraft always has wonderful classes for everything you have made this winter. Paintings, drawings, knitting, soft toys, canvas work, woodwork or any other craft article that you have created. Floral art has three classes and the domestic section has six classes. Photography has its usual three classes; the subjects for Spring Show are ‘Christmas colour’, ‘A pair…’ and ‘A view from above”. The junior section has two classes for each age group and all points won in this show will count towards the Junior Trophy and the W H Smith £10.00 voucher awarded at prize giving at our Autumn Show. School work may be entered but must be exhibitor’s own unaided work.
Staging takes place from 10am to 12 noon on the day of the show and the doors re-open at 2.30p.m. As always, we will be serving the most delicious cream teas and prize giving at 3.30pm will be followed by a raffle and an auction of produce.
We will be having a bring and buy plant stall. When you have grown too many seedlings or have divided your plants this spring, bring them along to our stall, the more the merrier!
Entries for this show can be given to any committee member or handed in at Garden Scene, Chipperfield. Come and join in; everyone will be made very welcome.
