Hodgkins Lymphoma

1st of November 2010

Neil Sharp, who lives in
Croft End Road, writes:

In April 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 4b Hodgkins Lymphoma and underwent 6 months of intensive chemotherapy. Being only 31, an ex professional footballer and a husband and father of a one year old daughter, this came as a huge shock and devastating blow to me and my family. The past year has been extremely stressful and emotional but I am thrilled to announce the chemo was successful and I am now 11 months in remission. On 3 November it is my ‘one year’ check up with everything looking positive to hit the one year remission mark.
Since being able to return to work and exercising, I have qualified as a Circuits Instructor and a Personal Trainer and am setting up a new business – Sharp Fitness. I have started Circuits classes in Kings Langley Primary School on Wednesday evenings 7.30pm and am building up a Personal Training database. I welcome all new recruits and it would be amazing to see some of you at my classes.
