Chipperfield Corinthians Football Club

1st of November 2010

The Chipperfield Corinthians 2010/2011 season is already well under way but during the close season the Club concluded all the necessary arrangements to achieve FA Charter Standard Adult Club qualification. This is seen as the kite mark for any club in grassroots football and is a core component of the FA Football Development programme in terms of both on and off field organisation. A presentation was made by Ken Headington football development officer of the Herts FA before Chipperfield’s home match against Met Police Bushey.
Back on the field the first team who remain being coached by Derek Hall were looking to build on last years very impressive final finish of 5th in the league. The early games saw some mixed results but two successive wins have seen them move up the league.
The reserves remain coached by Jason Ward & Peter Dent and they entered the Herts County League Division One following their excellent promotion last season. As with the first team the start has been mixed with an excellent first win offset by a draw and a defeat.
The pitch at Queen Street looks in fantastic condition and it is a pleasure for all the teams that use it. A big ‘thank you’ from all the players needs to go to David Dyment, Malcolm Durrant and Steve Hall who have all worked very hard during the close season to get the pitch in such excellent shape.
The club have their own website and once the season starts again you can follow the progress of both teams and get details of matches – site details are as follows:
