Thanks to villagers who responded to our appeal last year for donations for the churchyard. The cost of gardening throughout the year has been met, shared by the village, the Parish Council and the church. In the winter our gardener, Kevin, carried out maintenance work on gates, benches and notice boards when the weather prevented his other gardening work. In the summer we have a small team of volunteers looking after the flower beds.
The major project now started is the repair of the churchyard wall to be undertaken by volunteers to keep costs down. We are being advised and helped by experts from West Herts College. John Stickland, with Kevin, is leading this project and would be grateful for more volunteers or help with the expenses of this project. Volunteers are being trained and can then work in their own time.
