Summer Concert St Paul’s Church, Sunday 11 July
The weekend of the Morris Men’s visit traditionally finishes with a musical event in St Paul’s. This year this will be a concert for violin, piano & organ.
The programme will include attractive, popular favourites, such as Rachmaninov’s Prelude in C# Minor and the famous 18th Paganini variation, Albinoni’s Adagio, and other well known music by Chrysler, Massenet, & others.
The pianist will be Peter Wild who played in the equivalent concert last year and impressed us with his skill and versatility; Oliver Nelson will play the violin & Keith Beniston the organ. It promises to be an outstanding evening.
The concert starts at 6.00pm & will finish in time for any who want to watch the World Cup Final to do so. Admission free with retiring collection.
