It has recently been reported that youths are calling at local homes and attempting to sell domestic cleaning items. The youths say they are part of a ‘Keep Britain Working Scheme’ organised by the Probation Service. Checks have been made and I can confirm that this is a scam and their items are very highly priced! If these youths call at your door please phone the Police immediately.
Police advice is to never deal with ‘cold callers’ at the door or on the phone.
