Wi News
Robert Keating spoke to the Afternoon WI about the delightful island of Guernsey, comprising only 24 square miles and with a population of 60,000. Its sandy beaches and beauty make it a popular holiday resort; however, its main income is from the banks sited there. With its own laws and government, Guernsey still loves and respects our Queen.
Anna Conti gave a talk to the Evening WI entitled ‘Not Just Churches’. Anna has been interested in stained glass since the age of 11 and works mainly on secular projects. She showed samples of stained glass, together with the equipment she uses in her workshop, and finally illustrated her talk with slides showing work she has produced.
