Once again preparations are in train for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
Eighteen children from local schools attend classes at our Church on Friday evenings. They need to cover a great deal to be ready as the celebration of their First Communion will be held in May.
This is always a most joyful Mass packed with grandparents, aunts and uncles who come to share in the First Communicants great day.
It is hard work for everyone; the children themselves and their parents who have to bring and collect making space in an already crowded timetable.
As for the instructors – they would dearly love their “Team of Three” to become a “Team of Six”. They are praying for more volunteers!
