Chipperfield Horticultural Society

1st of March 2010

Our Spring show has classes for all our wonderful Spring flowers and plants grown either outside or indoors. All vegetables have their classes from onions to leeks. Handicraft always has wonderful classes for everything you have made this winter. Paintings, drawings, knitting, soft toys, canvaswork, woodwork or any other craft article that you have created. Floral art has three classes and the domestic section has six classes. Photography has its usual three classes, remember the list for 2010 can be found at the back of the 2009 schedule. The junior section has two classes for each age group and all points won in this show will count towards the Junior Trophy and the W.H. Smith £10.00 voucher awarded at prize giving at our Autumn show. School work may be entered, but must be exhibitor’s own unaided work.
Staging takes place from 10am to 12 noon on the day of the show.
We have a new trophy for 2010. The Liz Holliday Cup will be awarded for most points gained in photography in all three shows. This Cup is being given in memory of Liz by her family and is very appropriate as she was such a keen photographer winning many prizes.
As always, we will be serving the most delicious cream teas. Prize giving will be followed by a raffle and an auction of produce.
At the Spring Show we will be having a bring and buy plant stall. When you have grown too many seedlings or have divided your plants this spring, bring them along to our stall, the more the merrier!
Entries for this show can be given to any committee member, or handed in to Stanley’s Stores, Chipperfield or to Garden Scene. Come and join in, everyone will be made very welcome. Ann Soanes (Secretary)
