October has proved a hard month for us; losing both our priests! However, all is not as bad as it sounds. Fr. Jan, who has been with us for most of the past year, has been appointed priest in charge of Abbots Langley. We are happy that he is still near, and in fact it will be Fr. Jan who will cover any emergencies during Fr. Terry’s absence.

Fr. Terry is travelling back to Tanzania for his holiday, to “see people” and give continued support to the various projects which he began during his time in Chingalagulu. Soon we shall learn how the “Mothers and Baby” clinic is doing, whether the kindergarten is thriving and how far the pipes have been laid towards providing piped water into the villages.
