Our Family Quiz Evening held on September 19th was great fun and catered for all ages. It was competitive but very jolly and there was a cream tea and cake at half time which was a little different from the usual, but really tasty and very enjoyable! The proceeds were sent to “Tiggywinkles” wildlife centre near Aylesbury. Thank you all for your support. The Harvest Festival was held the next day, and many gifts of produce were brought in thanksgiving to God for all His goodness to us. Afterwards there was a barbeque in the manse garden to continue our celebrations. A number of gift parcels were made up on the Monday for residents of the village, and we’re very grateful to those who delivered them.

We were saddened to hear of the death of Mary English who was a staunch member of our church for many years, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Don’t forget your tickets for our Christmas Family Beetle evening on December 12th (see advert on page 2) These are always enjoyable so do come and join us. The Chiltern West Gallery Quire will be coming for their annual visit on the next day so note the date in your diaries and come along if you can. They are well worth listening to and there is always a tea afterwards for everyone.
