It was a glorious day for our Garden Party held at ‘Sunset’ on 22nd August and great to see so many people chatting and enjoying good company – as well as the cream teas! £140 was raised for church funds.
Our Flower Festival was held on August Bank Holiday weekend. We had a fantastic time and several hundred people came to see the lovely flower arrangements in the church, to have lunch on the Saturday, and cream teas which were available all weekend. We are very grateful to all our helpers who worked so hard in many ways during the weekend to make the event such a success, and to our wonderful flower arrangers who decorated the church so beautifully.
This month we have two anniversaries to celebrate. The first is the 10th anniversary of our lunch club. Anyone is welcome to join us on the second Saturday of the month, so please contact Brenda at any time on 01923 269574 if you would like to come.
The following weekend is our church anniversary, so do come and help us to celebrate our presence in Chipperfield for several hundred years!
