Hospice Of St Francis Donate Don’t Dump D-day Appeal

2nd of September 2009

Following retail guru Mary Portas’ TV programme on charity shops recently, the Hospice of St Francis have decided to ask people across businesses and organisations in Hertfordshire, Beds and Bucks to donate just one good quality piece of clothing/shoes/accessories which they may have in their wardrobe or an item from home in a special Donate Don’t Dump D-Day appeal.
You can hold your D-Day any time and in any place – perhaps in the staff canteen, at a coffee break or lunch hour or down the pub with friends after work?
Simply let everyone know when D-Day is, then set up a collection point and wait for people to bring in that magic item they may never have worn, never wanted or been meaning to throw out – it means money for the Hospice of St Francis and helps us provide care for very ill people when they need it most.
It’s such a simple thing to do – just needs someone with a big personality to tell everyone to bring their stuff in, a few BIG bin bags and a spare half hour! Just let us know when you’ve collected your goodies, send us your pictures and we’ll do the rest!
Simply contact the Hospice of St Francis on 01442 869555 and we’ll be happy to help.
