Proposed boxing class
We are hoping to start a boxing class in the village in the near future but we really need to know if any of our teenage boys and girls would like to learn to box!
If you are interested, please contact our
Parish Clerk on 01923 253310. Thank you for your cooperation.

Speed sign in Dunny Lane
Since the installation of the Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS) it has been reported that it has not been operating correctly. The Parish Council has contacted Herts Highways and it is hoped that by the time you read this the VAS will be fully operational.
The design and location of the VAS are still the subject of intense discussion with Highways and any progress will be reported as it occurs.

Potholes
As a result of public feedback at the AGM, the series of pot holes in the stretch of road between The Common and Bucks Hill are our priority. CPC are discussing with Herts Highways a time scale for completion.

Planning
The most significant planning decision in May was by Dacorum Borough Council’s Development Control Committee who refused Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association permission for their revised
application to build 4 flats and 2 houses at the end of Nunfield with access from Kings Close. The committee ruled that the proposed development would have a poor design and layout; would have an adverse impact on the character of Kings Close and the village overall, and would result in a poor quality residential environment.
