Essence Dance and Drama is a Community Arts school established last year in Abbots Langley. Holly Toms began the company with an aim of bringing The Arts to the communities of villages and small towns where arts activities are not always available close by.
After great success with classes in Abbots Langley, Essence Dance and Drama are now extending their services to Chipperfield where the brand new Street Dance class will take place at Blackwells Village Club. This class is available to children aged 7-11 years and also for teenagers aged 12-17 years. The classes are fun and very beneficial as a great form of exercise. In this class students learn cutting edge routines, recognising moves from their favourite films or music videos as Essence runs classes in keeping with the current trends in music and movement.
The best part of this great new class is the location. Above Blackwells Café is a fantastic, fully equipped, mirrored dance studio! It is not often that children can take part in a class locally that provides a purpose built dance space, therefore making this a great experience. Another bonus is the chance for you parents to get 45 minutes peace, enjoying a coffee and a break in the cafe while your child learns this exciting dance style.
Now for the details. Classes are held on Wednesdays with ages 7-11 at 4.15-5pm and ages 12-17 at 5-5.45pm. Classes cost £4 per session with fees paid half termly and your first session is free!
