A reader has advised us of the following:
Several gardens in Scatterdells Lane have recently been over-run with rats. At the time of writing (early April), the situation is being dealt with by the pest control officer from Dacorum Borough Council. This service is provided free of charge. The council now has only one member of staff (instead of three) and so there is a wide area to cover.
Nevertheless, other villagers are urged to be vigilant and, should they suspect that they too have a rat infestation, to contact Dacorum’s Environmental Health Department.
