Chipperfield Tennis Club is a friendly group of people of mixed tennis ability but who all enjoy the game. We particularly encourage the children to play and therefore the summer tennis coaching lead by Chris Blakemore is very important. In September they have the chance to experience Tournament conditions when the Children’s Doubles is held. For adults there are three competitions annually. On 20 June the Creations Cup is played which is a Mixed Doubles competion. The Divorce Lawyers are usually very busy the next day! On 12 July we hold The Great Divide which is a team of 16 men and 16 women who play for either the over-45s or unders. With 64 competitors it is always very enjoyable with lots of laughs and banter! The first weekend of September sees the season rounded off by the Annual Doubles for men, women and children. This is when the nerves kick in and we all play dreadful tennis (or maybe its just me). If you fancy coming to watch any of these events do. It’s not quite Wimbledon standard but it’s all good fun!
