WEDNESDAY 11 MARCH 8pm
Chipperfield Village Hall
We are a group of volunteers who provide support for villagers when other help is either not available or unreliable. When you need to get to a Doctors surgery, hospital appointment etc, and have no other means of transport, we are here at the end of a telephone – 01923 264700. Our line is open Monday to Friday 9.30am-1.30pm when a duty officer can take your call and arrangements can be made for a volunteer driver to be with you when you need one.
Maybe, however, in this time of financial uncertainty, more help is needed and I would like to remind you that the Citizens Advice Bureau is there to guide and assist you in times of concern and worry. They have a local telephone number 01923 267949 and their office in Abbots Langley is open from Monday to Friday. They can deal with very varied concerns and give unbiased advice and help.
Do come along to be with us at our AGM and maybe you could find the time to become a member of Care and help other people, it really is so very worthwhile. Our volunteers do as much or as little as is convenient to them. Our meeting is in the Village Hall on Wednesday 11 March at 8pm and is followed by a glass or two of wine.
If you would like further information, please contact me, Ann Soanes 01923 262756.
