A Three Valleys Water identity card in the name of ‘Joe Ellis’ has been lost/stolen in the Hemel Hempstead area. It actually has the message “Not authorised to access customer’s premises” on it, but nevertheless check all Water Board identity cards carefully when they are presented. Vulnerable and elderly residents are sometimes burgled by bogus water board officials who gain access to premises by saying they have come to check a reported leak.
