I have been contacted by a Kings Langley resident (who lives on the border with Chipperfield) to let us know that there have been many problems recently with unknown persons removing or damaging boulders/ rockeries and lanterns from the front of peoples gardens.
Could I ask that everyone is reminded that, if this happens, they should report these incidents to the police either as criminal damage or theft; that way the incidents are logged and the local officer can take action. They can tell from the report how often this happens and if there is a pattern to the crimes. The last incident resulted in boulders being placed in the middle of Chipperfield Road in the darkness and a serious accident occurred, fortunately no one was hurt.
