Computer System Given To School

2nd of February 1997

Home Finders the estate agents have presented a computer system to St Paul’s School, Chipperfield.
Katrine Johnston of Home Finders said:
“We heard the school had computers in most classrooms, but not all, so we thought we could help.”
The company made the donation after recently upgrading its system to include computerised cameras and E-mail.

Our Christmas Fair was a roaring success. We managed once again to raise about £800 which will go a significant way towards upkeep costs of the club and also directly to activities for the young people of Chipperfield.
Although none of us looks forward to the door-to-door collection each year, it really is the only way we can be sure of making a financial success of the Fair. Your generosity and warmth made it an enjoyable experience. It really does show that both the Spirit of Christmas and community spirit is alive and well in Chipperfield!
We would also like to report that our senior club entered a dance competition held at the Pavilion in Hemel in late November. The team was made up of six girls who commissioned a piece of music and choreographed their own routine. They won the prize for best team work, although there was no doubt from those of us attending from Chipperfield that they were also the best all-round performance as well. Congratulations!
In December the Inters club spent an evening at Quasar in Hemel. The club members seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly while the adults are still wondering how it was they did so badly. Finally, if you haven’t made (or have given up on) your New Year resolutions how about making a belated one to get directly involved in the community – particularly the Chipperfield Youth Club?
